Judy is currently Senior Associate Director of Physical
Education and Athletics for Academic Support and Initial and
Continuing Eligibility. She has served in various coaching and
administrative positions since joining the College in 1994. Judy
serves as academic liaison and facilitator for Pioneer
student-athletes to the broader campus community, and is
responsible for determining and maintaining the NCAA and NWC
eligibility records of all incoming and continuing
student-athletes.
An experienced basketball coach and administrator, Judy has
devoted her efforts to the promotion of college athletics in a safe
and nurturing environment. Growing up in Southern California, Judy
received her BS and MS in Physical Education (Psychology minor)
from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. She
competed as a member of the Cal Poly varsity volleyball and
basketball teams. Judy served as a graduate assistant women's
varsity basketball coach at Cal Poly, and held head women's
basketball coaching positions at The University of Iowa, and Lewis
& Clark College.
Judy is a past presenter at NCAA Title IX/Gender Equity Seminars
and chaired the Lewis & Clark College Title IX/Gender Equity
Task Force. She is a former member of the NCAA Women’s
Basketball Rules Committee and Chair of the Division III
Women’s Rowing Committee. She is a member of the National
Association of Collegiate Women Athletic Administrators and a
graduate of the NACWAA/HERS Institute for Administrative
Advancement.
Judy also is a member of the National Associate of Academic
Advisors for Athletics, National Association of Division III
Administrators, Women's Sports Foundation, American Civil Liberties
Union, Human Rights Coalition, and the Southern Poverty Law
Center.
