Jenny is starting her fifth year on the staff at Lewis & Clark College. Simon began her career as an intern and an assistant rowing coach, moving her way into a full-time administrative position in 2005. She was promoted to Associate Director of Physical Education & Athletics - Compliance in the summer of 2007

As a rowing coach, Simon has worked with the novice women's squad over the past three years and is excited to move into her new role as the Varsity assistant. Her crews successes over the past couple of years include a Novice Women's 4+ Conference Championship in 2004. Jenny rowed as a member of the Varsity Crew team for three years and then did a coaching practicum under the Mount Holyoke head crew coach during her senior year. She also spent her summers coaching in the Mount Holyoke College Community Rowing Program and was a member of the group that founded the Rowing Strong, Rowing Together program a rowing program for pregnant and parenting teen mothers in Holyoke, Massachusetts.

Simon also serves in a number of other capacities in the rowing community including officiating as USRowing Referee at local and national regattas, a member of the executive board of the Northwest Rowing Council, the director of the Row as One Camps for Master's women in Oregon and Massachusetts, and the camp director for the Lewis & Clark NIKE Rowing Camp.

As an administrator, Jenny wears a number of hats in the Athletics department. Her administrative career began in 2002 when she became a member of the inaugural class of NCAA Division III Administrative Interns. She served as an intern at the college for two year and was then hired full-time as the Assistant to the Directors of Athletics. Under this title, Simon provides academic support for all of the varsity student-athletes. Prior to LC Simon worked as a teaching assistant for Statistics courses at Mount Holyoke. She also served as an Upperclassman Academic Advisor where she worked with students as both a tutor and an advisor in selecting majors, choosing courses and with general academic concerns. As a Math and Sociology double major in college Simon is familiar with the challenges that arise in both the Math/Science disciplines as well as the the Social Science and Humanities. Simon's role in academic support is to be an additional resource to student-athletes and coaches.

Jenny serves as the primary liaison to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, the Co-Coordinator of the Student-Athlete mentor program, "The Balancing Act." and as a member of the Event Management staff.
