Two Pioneers Selected to Attend the 2009 NCAA National Student-Athlete Development Conference

PORTLAND, Ore. - Tucker Laurence (Junior, Football/Baseball) and Christina Herring (Junior, Basketball/Track & Field) were selected to represent Lewis & Clark College at the  2009 NCAA National Student-Athlete Development Conference held in Lake Buena Vista, Florida from May 24 to May 27.

The conference, which brings together 700 student-athletes from each division,  provides a forum to openly discuss issues that may affect them on their campuses and in their communities, while also providing them with the opportunity to enhance their leadership, communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills. The National Student-Athlete Development Conference also promotes better communication among student-athletes, coaches, administrators, faculty and communities.  The four-day conference consisted of daily color team sessions, exercises, speakers and activities to help the student-athletes develop as individuals and as contributing members to society.
