Led the 1982 Pioneer basketball team in scoring with his 15.2 game-point average;  was honored as a first-team All-Conference selection in 1982;  senior-year team was a 20-game winner (20-8);  as a defensive back in football, was selected  in 1979 and 1980 as first-team All-Conference;  was chosen as a 1980  NAIA first-team All-American; was 1980 football team’s most valuable player.  (Inducted in 1993)
