Lewis & Clark’s first National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) all-American. A lineman in the days preceding platoon football, he was1st team all-Northwest Conference at tackle in 1953, and at guard in1954; a 1st team NAIA all-American lineman choice in 1954. (Inducted in 1980)
