All-American in 110 meter high hurdles; four-time NAIA District 2 and three-time Northwest Conference champion in high hurdles; set district meet record  and lost only three races in four years in that event; also won NWC 400 meter hurdles in 1977, setting a conference record; set school records of 14.0 and 52.2 in 110. and 400 hurdles respectively; scored 58 1/2 points while placing in nine events in conference meets during his career.   (Inducted in 1991)
