Four-year letterman in track and cross country; set school records in 2 mile, 3 mile and steeplechase; two-time NWC and NAIA District 2 champion; set conference 3 mile and district steeplechase records; never finished lower than second in four years of district competition in four distance events; two-time NWC and NAIA District 2 cross country champion; district all-star all four years; track and cross country captain as a senior.  (Inducted in 1981)
