A powerful running back who scored 25 career touchdowns;  known as “The Tank,” he typified the awesome offense of the undefeated 1950 team;  Williamson System all-American and Associated Press honorable mention Little all-American as a senior; 3rd team all-NWC as a freshman, honorable mention as a sophomore and 1st team as a junior and senior; averaged 8.3 yards per carry as a senior.  (Charter member of Hall of Fame, inducted in 1978)
