Freshman cross country runner Heather Spurling paced the way for the Pioneers at the Northwest Conference Cross Country Championships, helping the Pios to a fourth place finish. Spurling finished 15th overall with a time of 23:17.70, which 00:04.00 shy of an NWC All-Conference Second-Team finish. Spurling's time is her best of the season.
