Ryan Lockard began his career at Lewis & Clark as the Defensive Line coach for the 2008 season, and has been coaching the Linebackers since 2009. Lockard played five years at Lewis & Clark, where he was an All-Northwest Conference Linebacker for the Pioneers in 2007. He graduated from Lewis & Clark in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in Sociology/Anthropology.
Lockard continued his playing and coaching career overseas in Europe. He played in Warsaw, Poland for the Warsaw Eagles in 2011, earning First-Team PLFA I honors at Linebacker. In 2010, Lockard played in Slagelse, Denmark and helped lead the Wolfpack back to the playoff hunt, after a winless season the previous year. In his first year of being abroad in 2009, Lockard played for the Les Chevaliers d'Orléans in France and won a conference championship and played in the national championship game.
Lockard has also been the Defensive Coordinator and helped coach the U19 and U16 of all three clubs while being in Europe. He had 5 players from his U19 teams go on and play for their national team and coached 5 All-PLFA I defensive players while in Poland.
Outside of football, Lockard owns a personal training business, Specialty Athletic Training, LLC, that specializes in training individuals with special needs.
Lockard resides with his wife Mary in Northwest Portland.
