PALATINE HILL – The Lewis & Clark College Athletics Department is proud to present two exciting promotions for Pioneer students. The first is the opportunity for anybody with an L&C ID, from any of the three colleges, to win $5,000 at the football season finale on Saturday, Nov. 14. The second promotion is in conjunction with the beginning of basketball season, with four lucky people having the opportunity to win $17,500. The athletics department is also offering free admission into all home basketball games in the month of November, but encourages everyone to make a non-perishable food or monetary donation to help support the Oregon Food Bank.

KICK YOUR WAY TO $5,000

Pioneer Athletics Club (PAC) is sponsoring a $5,000 45-yard field goal kick to win promotion. It is open to all attendees of the game with a valid L&C ID card. Participants will be drawn at random and the contest will be held at halftime right after the dance team performs.

To participate simply show your valid L&C ID card at the ticket booth at the main entrance to Griswold Stadium on Saturday November 14th prior to the 1pm kick-off (no exceptions will be made).

Three contestants will be drawn randomly during the second quarter of the game and if selected, you must be present at that time to compete at half-time. Each of the three contestants will have the opportunity to complete one 45-yard field goal (through the goal posts) and win the $5,000 cash prize!*

The fall women’s basketball promotion will take place over the course of five games, with four people having the opportunity to win the grand prize of $17,500 at the Nov. 30 game against Corban. Students must show up before tip-off with a valid L&C ID to get their ticket.

A total of 10 tickets will be called out during the course of the game, with the lucky 10 having the opportunity to participate in a free half-time shooting contest. The winner of the shooting contest will advance to the “Championship” on Nov. 30 for the chance to compete for the grand-prize.

In addition to the opportunity to win $17,500, the first 40 students to show up to the Nov. 15 game against Evergreen State will receive a free PIO POUND 6th MAN club t-shirt.

 HELP PIONEER STUDENT-ATHLETES MAKE SURE NOBODY GOES HUNGRY

The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is teaming up with the Oregon Food Bank to make the holiday season better for families in need. Admittance into all home basketball games during the month of November will be free, in hopes that fans will bring canned or non-perishable food items for donation to the food drive in exchange. The Pioneers will also be collecting monetary donations to put toward the food drive.
