Men's Golf Finishes Eighth at NWC Championships
The Pioneer men's golf team finishes their season this weekend, playing in the two-day Northwest Conference Championship tournament at Appletree Golf Course in Yakima, Wash.
After the first round of the 2008 Northwest Conference Men's Golf Championship, the Pioneers are ahead of Whitman and just three shots behind George Fox in the battle for seventh. Daniel Sloan was tied for 12th as an individual after shooting a 77.
The Pioneer team shot a 358 day two to end with a 702, eight strokes behind George Fox and three strokes ahead of Whitman.
Individual scores and complete results will be posted Monday.
First Round Team Scores: Linfield 288, Pacific 299, Puget Sound 305, Whitworth 307, Pacific Lutheran 314, Willamette 321, George Fox 341, Lewis & Clark 344 and Whitman 359.
Final Team Scores: Linfield 591, Whitworth 605, Pacific 609, Puget Sound 618, Pacific Lutheran 625, Willamette 651, George Fox 694, Lewis & Clark 702, and Whitman 705.
