The Pioneer men's golf team edged George Fox to finish fourth at the Pacific Five-Way at Quail Valley Golf Course on Saturday (results). The Pioneers posted a team score of 368, seven strokes better than the Bruins. The Pioneers were 23 strokes behind the third-place Willamette Bearcats.

Daniel Sloan (junior, Tulsa, Okla.) lead the Pioneers, shooting a 87 (45-42), tying him for 13th overall. Scott Hymen (junior, Evanston, Ill.) also finished in the top-15, shooting an 88.

The Pioneers play again on Monday, taking part in the Willamette Five-Way at Illahe Golf Club in Salem. They will host the L&C Five Way next Monday, Oct. 1, at Oregon Golf Club.
