PORTLAND, Ore. - The Lewis & Clark men's and women's basketball teams have once again made the Northwest Conference Tournament. The Pioneer women will host Whitman on Thursday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m., while the men will travel to Spokane, Wash. to take on Whitworth.

The women, who are ranked 7th in the nation, are the No. 2 seed heading into the tournament and will host the No. 3 seeded Missionaries. The game is set for a 7 p.m. tip-off in the Pamplin Sports Center. The other semi-final game will feature No. 1 seed George Fox hosting No. 4 seeded Puget Sound. The winners of the two semi-final games will meet on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. with the highest remaining seed serving as host.
The Campus Activities Board and the Dean of Students Office are inviting students to join them for free pizza and to make a L&C Pioneer spirited poster for the game. Fans are also encouraged to wear their white PioPack t-shirts in support of the team to help White Out the Missionaries. Students who arrive wearing their PioPack t-shirt will be entered into a raffle. Fans who do not have a PioPack t-shirt may purchase them at the gate for $5 (children's shirts are available for $4).
Admission to the game is $7 for adults, $4 for children/seniors and FREE to Lewis & Clark & Whitman students with valid student ID. There are no pass lists available for NWC Tournament games. Fans who cannot attend the game can view it here.
The Pioneer men earned a spot in the NWC Tournament with a hard fought win against the Pacific Boxers in the final regular season game of the season. The men enter the tournament as the No. 4 seed and will travel to Spokane to take on the No. 1 seeded Pirates. The Pirates are currently ranked 10th in the nation. The other semi-final game features No. 2 Puget Sound hosting No. 3 Whitman.
