Eight Players to Join Men's Basketball

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Lewis & Clark men's basketball team has added eight new players for the 2013-14 season, as the Pioneers look to continue to be a Northwest Conference Tournament contender.

All eight of the Pioneers incoming players stand at 6'0 or taller and include six true freshmen and two transfers. The Pios will add five guards to the lineup, two forwards and one combo guard/forward.

Last season the Pioneers made their second consecutive NWC Touranment appearance under second-year head coach Dinari Foreman. Foreman and the Pioneers ended the 2012-13 season with a 16-10 overall record and 10-6 NWC record, earning the #4 seed in the NWC Tournament. Senior James Hollins, who is one of a handful of players to score 1,000+ points in his career at L&C, ended the season with a NWC All-Conference First-Team honor, while classmate Ross Erickson was named to the second-team.
