Sims Named to Northwest Conference Second-Team; Freeberg Honorable Mention

FOREST GROVE, Ore.- Seniors Quentin Sims and Connor Freeberg were named to the Northwest Conference All-Conference list as announced by the league office Wednesday. Sims earned a spot on the second-team and Freeberg was named to the honorable mention team.
Sims led Lewis & Clark in minutes per game and finished the regular season third on the team is scoring with 9.9 points per game and second in rebounds per game with 5.8. He lead the team in free throw percentage, was second in three point percentage, third in three-point field goals made, and fourth in total points, field goals made, assists, and steals. In the Northwest Conference Sims was eighth in three pointers made with 27 and ninth in three-point percentage. He was also 5th in the NWC with 105 defensive rebounds and 15th and 17th in rebounds per game and total rebounds, respectively. Sims started all 25 regular season games this season for the Pioneers and finished his career with 71 games played, 37 of those were starts.
Freeberg connected on 48% of his field goals on the season, placing him 19th in the Northwest Conference and finished the regular season with 103 made field goals (10th in the NWC). He was 16th in points per game while averaging 10.9, good for second on the team. He lead Lewis & Clark in field goals made, was second on the team in total steals and total points, and fourth in total rebounds and rebounds per game. Freeberg played in all 25 regular season games this year and ended his career with 71 appearances and 30 starts.
The Pioneers begin the Northwest Conference playoffs as the fourth seed and travel to first seed Whitworth on Tuesday, Feb. 25. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m..
