Lewis & Clark drops its second game in Hawaii

HONOLULU, Hawaii -- Lewis & Clark was unable to take the lead in their second game of the 2017 Hoops in Hawaii Thanksgiving Classic against North Central (Ill.), losing 83-53 on Saturday night. The Pioneers trailed the entire game and did not have a successful shooting night. 

Throughout the entire game, the Pios struggled with shooting and rebounds. The Pios had a hard time finding the basket ending the game with a field-goal percentage of 29 percent and a 3-point percentage of 17 percent. North Central also outrebounded Lewis & Clark, 42-22, and had a 5-0 edge in blocked shots. 

The leading scorer for the Pioneers was Andrew Vickers with 15 points followed up by Daelon Floyd with 10 points. Vickers was also the team leader in rebounds (7) and assists (3). 

The Pioneers bench did show some promise coming up with almost half of the team's total points.

Lewis & Clark (1-3) will travel to Salem to play against the Willamette Bearcats in their Northwest Conference opener on Dec. 1 at 8 p.m.
