Men's Golf Finishes NWC Spring Classic in Eighth Place


KENNEWICK, Wash. - After battling through tough playing conditions on day one of the Northwest Conference Spring Classic, the Lewis & Clark men's golf team sits in eighth place with a first round 356.  

The host Whitworth Pirates currently sit in first place with a 304, while Willamette is in second place with a 316 and Puget Sound rounds out the top three with a 319. 

Drew Groshong ended the opening round with the Pioneers best individual score with an 84, which currently ties him for 26th place. Niklaus Parcell sits four strokes back of Groshong with an 88, holding control of 30th place. 

Trevor Foster ended the round with a 90 (t-33rd), while Connor Laubenstein shot a 94 (41st). 

The Pirates hold the three top spots with Oliver Rudnicki leading the way with a 72. Stephen Plopper and Jesse Salzwedel are currently tied for second place with a 76.
