Women's tennis player Lisa Harunaga (sophomore, Kailua, Hawaii) and men's tennis player George Allen (sophomore, Madison, Wisc.) were both named First Team All-Northwest Conference on Tuesday.
Lisa Harunaga had a dominant season playing at #2 singles. Harunaga lost one match in Conference play all season, going 14-1 in the regular season and adding two more victories in the Conference tournament. Harunaga also was 12-4 in Conference play at #2 singles. Harunaga was third in All-Conference voting, falling only behind teammate and Player of the Year Amalia Nilsson and the #1 player from the champion Linfield Wildcats. This is her second consecutive First Team All-Conference honor.
George Allen was the #1 singles and doubles player for the Pioneers this season, with winning records at both, facing the top-competition in the Northwest Conference. Allen was 10-9 in Conference play at singles and 10-7 in doubles. This is his first First Team All-Conference honor. He was a second team selection his freshman year.
