Pioneers Fall To Seattle University 7-2
PORTLAND, Ore., - The Lewis & Clark
men’s tennis team fell to Seattle University on Friday
afternoon at the Tennis Dome by the final score 7-2. The Pioneers
slip to 0-2 on the season.
Lewis & Clark received points from Peter May and Andrew Moller, both during singles play. May defeated Dylan Reitz from the No. 3 position, dropping the first set 1-6 before bouncing back to win 7-5, 3-0. Moller’s victory came in the No. 4 spot, defeating Adam Stuzich 8-3.
The Pioneers came close to earning two doubles points, as Vincent Groot and May fell to Mark Shiektan/Reitz 8-6 in the No. 1 spot. Andrew Davey and Quinn Roth Carter nearly defeated Matt Tankema/Billy Bang at the No. 3 position, falling 9-7.
Lewis & Clark returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 14 hosting Whitworth at 10 a.m.
