Women's Tennis Falls To Whitworth 7-2
RESULTS
SPOKANE, Wash., - The Lewis & Clark women's tennis team fell to
0-2 on the season, as Northwest Conference foe Whitworth pulled out
a 7-2 win on Saturday afternoon in Spokane, Wash.
Sophomore Amalia Nilsson was
once again the Pioneers ace, earning her second singles victory of
the season. Nilsson downed Rachel Burns in straight sets, earning a
6-2 victory before knocking off burns 6-1 in the second set.
Nilsson also pulled out her second doubles victory with teammate Whitney
DeBree, as the two fought their way to an 8-5 win over Linh
Aven and Burns.
The Pioneers return to the courts on Feb. 20 as they remain on the
road for their third NWC match-up, this time against Linfield.
