A couple matches were much more competitive. At the #4 spot, Coleman was pushed to a third set but came out victorious with a score of 7-5, 4-6, 1-0 (10-4). There was another close match at #6 singles. Macrina Sharpe battled hard but ended up falling short with a 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (13-11) score.
