Men's Tennis Defeats Southwestern (TX) 5-4; Falls to Our Lady of the Lake 5-4



TEXAS - The Lewis & Clark men's tennis team defeated Southwestern (TX) 5-4 on Thursday, before falling to Our Lade of the Lake by the same score on Friday morning. 



 Daniel Hahm played at No. 1 singles for the first time this season after an injury to Kevin Ross the day before kept him out of singles. Hahm rolled past his opponent Egan Cornachione 6-2, 6-3. Ross did team up with Hahm for doubles earning an 8-6 win at the No. 1 spot.

Scott Monismith moved to the No. 3 singles position earning a hard fought 7-5, 6-4 win. Monismith and his doubles partner, Carter Gee-Taylor, barley lost at No. 2 doubles, falling in a close 9-8 match. 

The Pioneers final singles point came from the No. 5 position with Cole Pfeiffer collected a 6-3, 6-3 win.

Lucas Fodor and Ryotaro Tokura picked up an 8-5 win at the No. 3 doubles position winning 8-5.

The Pioneers returned to the court on Friday morning playing against NAIA opponent Our Lady of the Lake, falling 5-4. 

Pfieffer earned another singles point for the Pioneers, defeating Aaron Rodriquez 6-0, 6-2 from the No. 6 spot.  Gee-Taylor collected the Pios other singles point  taking down his opponent 6-4, 0-6, 6-3.

Gee-Taylor and Monismith pulled out an 8-5 doubles win from the No. 2, while Fodor and Ryotaro defeated their foes by the same score.
