PORTLAND, Ore. - The Lewis & Clark men's tennis team swept the Linfield Wildcats on Friday night in Northwest Conference action, collecting its first 9-0 in recent years.
The Pioneers Daniel Hahm played from the No. 1 instead of an injured Kevin Ross. Hahm made quick work of his opponent, winning 6-2, 6-4. Carter Gee-Taylor took down his opponent in the No. 2 position (6-1, 6-4), while Scott Monismith earned a point at No. 3 singles (6-2, 6-0). Ryotaro Tokura played in the No. 4 spot, collecting yet another point on a strong 6-4, 6-3 performance. Cole Pfeiffer played at the No. 5 winning 6-0, 6-3. Lucas Fodor rounded out singles action collecting a 6-4, 6-2 win.
In doubles, Gee-Taylor and Monismith played as the No. 1, while Hahm teamed up with Pfeiffer. Hahm and Pfeiffer earned the first point of the night with a 8-4 victory as did Gee-Taylor and Monismith. In the No. 3 doubles spot, Fodor and Tokura also collected an 8-4 win.
The Pios return to the court on Saturday, April 6 at 12 p.m. when they host George Fox.
