Four Tennis Players Named to NWC All-ConferenceBy Rachel Levitsky Sports Information Intern
PORTLAND, Ore. – Three women's tennis players and one men's tennis player were named to the All-Northwest Conference (NWC) team. On the women's side, Aurora Garrison and Olivia Cornell were named to the All-NWC first team, while Claudia Lew was named to the All-NWC second team. For the men, Kevin Ross was named to the All-NWC second team.
Garrison finished the season 11-6, playing at the number one spot for the Pioneers. With her doubles partner Gillian Lowe, Garrison finished 13-6. Garrison is also ranked 20th regionally. Cornell finished the season 13-5, playing most of the season from the number two singles spot for Lewis & Clark. In doubles, Cornell finished with a record of 15-3 with partner Claudia Lew. Lew finished the season as the Pioneers number three, with a record of 12-6.
Ross played in the number one spot for the Pioneers before being injured, compiling a record of 5-9 in singles and 6-9 in doubles with partner Daniel Hahm. Ross helped the team to a fifth place finish in the NWC.
Each of these NWC recognitions go to freshman Pioneers, signaling a bright future for the Lewis & Clark tennis team.
