FOREST GROVE, Ore. -- The Lewis & Clark Pioneers had three make the All-Northwest Conference Men's Tennis teams, the conference office announced Thursday, the third-straight season the Pios have had at least three on the list.
For Brewer, it is his third time on the first team. He made the list his first two seasons before missing the majority of last year with an injury. Attia earned his second straight first-team selection, and Barrows picked up his second consecutive second-team nod.
Zach Hewlin, who Brewer defeated in last fall's Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional Championship, was picked as the NWC Player of the Year for the second straight season, and Whitman head coach Jeff Northam was NWC Coach of the Year. Pacific Lutheran's Ryan Adams was the inaugural NWC Freshman of the Year.
Lewis & Clark is the No. 2 seed in this weekend's NWC Championship at Whitman and will face No. 3 Pacific in the semifinal. Top seed Whitman and No. 4 George Fox are in the other semifinal.
With three on the All-NWC teams, the Pioneers had the third-most among conference teams.
