The Pioneer crew teams get the spring underway with their first true regatta of the season Saturday afternoon at the Daffodil Cup at American Lake near Tacoma (results).

The Women's novice four won their race. The women's varsity eight was fourth out of five boats. The Men's varsity four placed fourth and women's varsity four finished fifth.

"Overall it was a good shakedown event," said Head Coach Sam Taylor.  "The team was a little tired after spring break. We are looking for excellent improvement next week. We have lots of stuff to work on, but we are overall very positive of how it went."
