Softball Unable to Score Against #5 Linfield

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Lewis & Clark women's softball team lost both its games to the #5 Linfield Wildcats. The Pioneers dropped the first game 8-0, then in the second game losing 6-0.

In the first game, the Pioneers one got one hit on the board, with Caitlin McCormick hitting a single up the middle. Natalie Rose started off pitching for the Pioneers, getting two strikeouts and pitching two innings before being relieved by Jill Pinder.

In the second game, the Pioneers again were only able to get one hit, with Hannah Dal Pra singling in the first inning before being caught at second base.

Madison Hollenbeck pitched five and a half innings for the Pioneers, striking out two batters. Hallie Knife then came in for the Pioneers to finish the game, only allowing two hits.

The Pioneers return to play on March 9th, when they take on George Fox at Morse Athletic Complex at 12 p.m.
