Softball Finishes Season with Best Record in 12 Years

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Lewis & Clark softball team had its best season since 2001, finishing with an overall record of 16-22, and a Northwest Conference (NWC) record of 10-18. The Pioneers also beat each NWC opponent, except George Fox and Linfield, at least once during the season.

The team broke the single season record for number of hit by pitches, with 26. The Pioneers also closely missed breaking the single season record for home runs, finishing the season with 24 and missing the record by one.

Rookie Hannah Dal Pra smashed the single season RBI record, which had previously been held since 1975, with 43 RBI. Dal Pra also broke the single season home run record, finishing with 10 homers.
