Pirates Top Pioneer Swim Teams
The men's and women's swim teams fell to the Whitworth Pirates on Saturday, January 17 in a conference meet in Spokane, Washington.

Pirates on Saturday, January 17 in a conference meet in Spokane,
Washington. Both the men’s and women’s Whitworth teams
currently secure the first place slot in conference.
The Pioneer women were handed their first conference loss of the
season, as they entered the meet with an undefeated NWC record of
3-0. The lady Pirates, who were also undefeated in conference
entering the meet, improved to 5-0 with the sweep. The women fell
141-52 as they moved into third place in NWC standings.
The Pioneer men also faced an undefeated Pirate team. The Pirate
men entered the meet with the same impressive record as their women
at 5-0 in NWC and 5-1 overall. The men dropped to the Pirates
167-25. Despite both teams losses to the dominant first place
Pirates, the men and women swam strong races.
The Pioneer women will return to Zehntbauer Swimming Pavilion on
Monday, January 19, when they host the University of Alaska at 11
am.
