The Pioneer women's tennis team, playing without their #1 singles player, fell 9-0 to Southern Oregon in their season opening match Sunday morning (box score).

Lisa Harunaga and Maggie Peach played a tough #1 doubles match, falling 8-5. Alix Dixon and Whitney Debree fell by that same mark at #2.

Whitney Debree won her first set at #2 singles, 6-1, then dropped her second 1-6 before falling 5-10 to lose the point. Maggie Pecah, playing #3, also won her first set 6-1, before falling 2-6, 3-6.

The Pioneers open Conference play next weekend, traveling to Tacoma to take on Puget SOund and Pacific Lutheran Friday and Saturday, Feb 15 & 16.
