The Pioneer women's tennis team is in Eastern Washington this weekend, playing their final matches before the Conference tournament.

On Friday, the Pioneers fell 6-3 (results) against the Whitworth Pirates.  The Pioneers were swept in doubles, but earned three victories in singles. Amalia Nilsson (freshman, Stockholm, Sweden) cruised to a 6-1, 6-3 victory at #1. Lisa Harunaga (sophomore,  Kailua, Hawaii) won 6-1, 7-6 at #2 singles. Maggie Peach (sophomore, Belligham, Wash.) won 6-3, 6-3 at #5 singles.

The team heads to Walla Walla for their final tune-up before the Conference tournament, a 1pm match against the Whitman Missionaries.
