PORTLAND, Ore. - The Lewis & Clark women's basketball team, who are 14-1 on the season, have moved up one spot to #7 in the latest USA Today/ESPN Division III Top-25 Coaches Poll. The Pioneers have also moved up to #8 in the D3hoops.com Women's Top-25 Week 7 poll.
The only difference in the two polls is that the Pioneers are ranked four spots ahead of Washington University in the USA Today/ESPN poll and behind them in the D3hoops.com poll. The Bears are currently 12-2 on the season.
Nationally, Lewis & Clark ranks 13th in three-point percentage and 14th in rebounding margin. The team is also ranked 38th in free-throw percentage. Junior Kristina Williams currently leads all Northwest Conference players in three point percentage, while ranking seventh in points per game. Junior Sara Villanueva is ranked fifth in the conference in field goal percentage.
The Pioneers return to action on Friday, Jan. 20 at 6 p.m. for PAC(K) Pamplin against the Pacific Boxers.
