FOREST GROVE, Ore. - After two strong games to start the 2012-2013 women's basketball season, Lewis & Clark senior Kristina Williams has been named the Northwest Conference Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
Williams helped guide the No. 10 Pioneers to two convincing victories over the weekend, taking down UC Santa Cruz and Corban in the Pamplin Sports Center. The senior guard finished the weekend averaging 30.5 points a game in just 22.5 minutes of play.
Against UC Santa Cruz, Williams recorded her first double-double of the season and the fifth of her career. Williams then went onto score 32 points against Corban the next night, falling one point shy of her career-high.
The Pioneers return to the court on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. for their first road contest of the season, taking on Warner Pacific.
