Women's Basketball Moves to 5th in Latest D3hoops.com Poll

D3hoops.com - The Lewis & Clark women's basketball team moved up a spot in the D3hoops.com Women's Basketball Top-25 poll. The Pioneers, who were ranked sixth, heading into their Northwest Conference match-up against George Fox, have moved to fifth in the nation. 

The Pioneers, who are 11-0 on the season and 2-0 in NWC action, received 522 votes. The Pioneers and Bruins (#24) are the only two conference teams ranked in the top-25. The Whitman Missionaries and Whitworth Pirates, who the Pioneers take on this weekend, both received votes in the coaches poll but did not break into the top-25. 

The team currently ranks 14th in the nation in scoring offense, ranking 35th in free-throw percentage. The Pios have also been taking care of the ball, ranking 32nd in turnovers per game. 

Lewis & Clark hosts Whitman on Friday, Jan. 4 at 6 p.m. and Whitworth on Jan. 5 at 4 p.m. in the Pamplin Sports Center.
