Williams Named NWC Player of the Week

FOREST GROVE, Ore. - Senior guard Kristina Williams was named the Northwest Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Tuesday. WIlliams helped guide the Pioneers to two wins over the weekend, securing the team a spot in the NWC Tournament. 

The El Dorado Hills, California native ended the weekend with two double-doubles, picking up her seventh in a row and 10th on the season. She also played a key role in helping the Pioneers break the George Fox Bruins 43 game home winning streak. With the teams win against Linfield on Saturday, the Pioneers guaranteed themselves a spot in the conference tournament, while moving into sole possession of first place in the NWC.
