PORTLAND, Ore. - The Lewis & Clark men's and women's basketball teams have once again made the Northwest Conference Tournament.
The #10 ranked Pioneer women, who earned their first outright NWC Championship, will host George Fox on Thursday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. The Pioneers, who split the championship during the 2010-2011 season, ended the regular season 23-2 overall and 14-2 in the NWC.
The men's team hits the road to take on #12 Whitworth in Spokane, Wash. The Pioneers, who are headed to the NWC Tournament for the second consecutive season under Dinari Foreman, ended the regular season 16-9 overall and 10-6 in conference play.
The women are the No. 1 seed heading into the tournament and will host the No. 4 seeded Bruins. The game is set for a 7 p.m. tip-off in the Pamplin Sports Center. This will mark the third meeting between the two sides this year, with the Pios leading the series 2-0. The game also marks the fourth time in as many years that the two sides have met in the NWC Tournament.
The other semi-final game will feature No. 2 seed Whitman hosting No. 3 seeded Whitworth. The winners of the two semi-final games will meet on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. with the highest remaining seed serving as host.
Admission to the game is $10 for adults, $4 for children/seniors and FREE to Lewis & Clark and George Fox students with valid student ID. There are no pass lists available for NWC Tournament games.

The Pioneer men earned a spot in the NWC Tournament after a hard fought win against the Pacific Lutheran Lutes in the final regular season game of the season. The men enter the tournament as the No. 4 seed and will travel to Spokane to take on the No. 1 seeded Pirates.
