Women's Basketball Ranked #17 in Top-25 Preseason Poll

D3HOOPS.COM - After being ranked #19th in the USA Today poll on Tuesday, the Lewis & Clark women's basketball team was ranked two spots higher in the preseason poll released Friday. 

The Pioneers ended the 2012-13 season ranked #22 according to after falling in the second round of the NCAA Tourmament. Lewis & Clark is joined in the preseason rankings with Northwest Conference rivals Whitman and George Fox. 

A weekly release, the Top-25 is voted on by a panel of 25 coaches, Sports Information Directors and media members from across the country. With the WBCA and rankings, the Pioneers have now been nationally ranked for 31 consecutive weeks, dating back to the 2011-12 season when the Pios broke into the national rankings at #25 in the preseason poll. 

Lewis & Clark takes the court for the regular season on Nov. 15 as the hosts of the Bon Appetit Tournament, facing off with SUNY Geneseo at 7 p.m.
