BANKS, Ore. - The Lewis & Clark women's golf team concluded the Pacific Invitational with its best showing in years, finishing in fourth place with a two day team score of 679.
Freshman Arielle Valdez earned the Pioneers best individual finish, taking home second place with a two day score of 156, after finishing the second day with a 76 to go with her 80 from day one. Claire Burke finished in ninth place after shaving off three strokes from her day one score to shoot a 161 (82 + 79) for the tournament.
Sofia Vigil ended her first college tournament with a 171 (78 +93) for 25th place, while Abbi Rautenberg rounded out the team scoring with a 191 (89 + 102). Clarisa Witherup finished seven strokes behind Rautenberg with a 198 (96 + 102).
Playing as an individual, freshman Jessica Rosenblatt finished the tournament with a 215 (111 +104).
