Women's Golf Competes Against Pacific


BANKS, Ore. - The Lewis & Clark women's golf team opened its spring season on Sunday afternoon, competing against the Pacific Boxers in the Pacific Spring Tune-Up.

The Pioneers defeated the Boxers in the dual, with the Pios finishing 66 over par with a 354, while the Boxers finished with a team score of 426.

 Arielle Valdez was the Pioneers and tournaments top finisher, ending the day 10 over par with an 82. Sofia Vigil finished in second place, ending the tournament with an 86. Right behind her was teammate Clarisa Witherup who shot an 87, while Claire Burke concluded her day with an 89. Abbi Rautenberg took sixth with a 98, while Jessica Rosenblatt rounded out the field for Lewis & Clark with a 116.

The team returns to action on Saturday, March 1 at the Pacific Lutheran Invitational.
