BEND, Ore. - The Lewis & Clark women's golf team finished the Willamette Spring Thaw with its best team placing of the season, taking home second place with a 673. The Pioneers Claire Burke ended the tournament in second place as an individual.
The George Fox Bruins won the event with a 623, while Willamette tied with the Pioneers with a 673.
Burke shot just nine over par for the tournament, ending the opening round with a 75, followed by a 78 on day two. Arielle Valdez took home fifth place with a 157 (75 + 82), while Sofia Vigil also concluded the event in the top-10 with a ninth place finish (80 + 86 = 166). Abbi Rautenberg rounded out the team score with a 197 (103 + 94).
