Soccer's Unsworth Resigns

Lisa Unsworth has resigned from her position as Head
Women’s Soccer Coach effective immediately to pursue other
interests. Unsworth served as the head coach of the Pioneer
soccer program for the past three seasons. As noted by Dean
of the College, Julio DePaula, “during [her] tenure at the
College the Women’s Soccer program became distinguished
within Division III for the academic excellence of its
student-athletes.”
A national search will begin immediately. In the interim,
Assistant Coach, Stan Baker will conduct the team’s
non-traditional season practice. Senior Soccer
student-athlete, Lisa Housman will coordinate all communications
with prospective Soccer student-athletes.
The college is committed to finding a top-notch candidate to fill
this head coaching position who can lead this program to conference
and regional recognition. We will be looking
specifically for an individual who has demonstrated success/ability
to recruit female student-athletes to a highly selective liberal
arts college and has demonstrated success communicating high level
soccer skills, techniques and strategies to college women. To
apply, visit the Lewis &
Clark Human Resources website and submit your application
online by April 4th.
