Pioneer Soccer Team Recipient of 2008 NSCAA Team Ethics Award

The NSCAA Team Ethics Award recipients were announced this
morning, revealing seventy-three intercollegiate teams in the
Nation had received the Award for the 2008 season. The award is
served to recognize teams that “exhibit fair play, sporting
behavior and adherence to the Laws of the Game, as reflected by the
number of yellow caution cards or red ejection cards they are shown
by referees throughout the season.”
The Pioneer women received the Silver Award alongside 42 other
teams in the nation for their ethical performance on the field in
the 2008 season. “The Silver Award is given to teams that
accumulate no red cards and a maximum of five yellow
cards.”
