Soccer Falls to Linfield 1-0
The Pioneer women's soccer team fell to the Linfield Wildcats 1-0 (boxscore) this afternoon at Griswold Stadium. Goalkeeper Kate MacDougall had 7 saves for the Pioneers.
The Pioneers, with the help of MacDougall, kept the Wildcats off the scoreboard until ten minutes into the second half when the Wildcat's Rachel Miles connected for the lone goal of the game.
Although the Pioneers attempted more shots than Linfield, 15 to 10, they were unable to connect for a goal. Natalie Stratton had three shots for Pioneers, Katie Browning had six and Stephanie Thurin had four.
