SEATTLE, Wash. - Sophomore goalkeeper Geena Fong was named the Northwest Conference Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Tuesday. Fong and the Lewis & Clark women's soccer team ended the weekend 1-0-1.
Fong played 200 minutes for the Pioneers en route to an undefeated weekend. In the team's hard fought double-overtime tie with Linfield, Fong was forced to make 21 saves, while allowing just one goal. Prior to the Linfield game, Fong recorded her second shutout of the season against Pacific in the Pios 2-0 victory.
