FOREST GROVE, Ore. - Lewis & Clark women's soccer player Anna Thorndike has been named the Northwest Conference Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday.

Thorndike, a sophomore, scored in all three games this week to help the Pioneers begin league play with a 2-0-1 record.  She scored the game-tying goal against Whitworth and the game-winning goals against both Willamette and Whitman.  In the Whitman game her goal in the last few minutes of the game gave the Pioneers a 1-0 win.  Thordnike leads the Pioneers with six goals on the season and is tied for second in the Northwest Conference behind Linfield's Emily Fellows who has eight goals.
