Women' Tennis Falls to Portland State in Home Opener


PORTLAND, Ore. - The Lewis & Clark women's tennis team opened the season on Saturday with a home match against the Portland State Vikings. The Pioneers fell to the Vikings 6-1 in the L&C Tennis Dome. 

Lewis & Clark battled strong against its Division I foe, but were unable to overcome their power. The Pioneers picked up their lone point from Olivia Cornell, who defeated Marina Todd from the No. 2 spot 6-2, 7-5. 

The team returns to the court on Friday, Feb. 15 at 3 p.m. in Spokane against Whitworth in Northwest Conference action.
