Women's Tennis Begins Spring Break With 8-1 Win Over Texas Lutheran
SEGUIN, Texas - The Lewis & Clark women's tennis team began its spring break trip with an 8-1 win over Texas Lutheran on Wednesday.
The Pioneers took five of six singles points from the Bulldogs, while sweeping their opponents in doubles.
Lewis & Clark's No. 2-4 singles all defeated their foes 6-0 in both sets. Izzy Borris took down her opponent 6-1, 6-0 from No. 6 singles. Olviia Cornell defeated Caitlin Zarr at the No. 2 position 6-1, 6-2.
Borris and Lisa Osepyan blanked their opponents in doubles, while Caludia Lew and Cornell collected a convincing 8-2 win. Aurora Garrison and Gillian Lowe had a fight on their hands from the No.1 doubles but pulled out an 8-5 victory.
The team returns to action on Thursday, March 28 against Southwestern (TX).
