PORTLAND, Ore. - The Lewis & Clark volleyball team fell at home to Linfield on Saturday evening in Northwest Conference action. The Wildcats, who lost earlier in the season to the Pios, picked up a 25-15, 21-25, 25-23, 25-19 win.
The Pioneers fall to 5-13 on the season and 4-8 in the NWC, while the Wildcats improve to 6-13 overall and 2-10 in conference.
Kataleya Milan knocked down a team-high 13 kills, while earning 23 digs for the Pioneers. Brigitte Russo ended the evening with 10 kills, while Tessa Belanger had eight and Kayla Ernewein finished with seven. Belanger led all players with five blocks, while both Milan and Alicia Callejo-Black finished with three.
Victoria Thompson led all players with 14 kills on the night. Both Kailana Ritte-Camara and Sam Hammons had 11 kills in the Wildcat victory.
Lewis & Clark takes the court again on Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. in the Pamplin Sports Center against Willamette. Prior to the game the Pioneers will honor former head volleyball coach Lori Jepsen with a small reception.
