20 Burning Questions With Sam Smith

By Natalie Stratton
Sports Information Student Assistant

PALATINE HILL - Putting up an impressive time during the Sundodger Open, Sam Smith is bound to become a valuable member of the men’s cross country team in his upcoming years at L&C. Coming from St. Paul Central High School in St. Paul, Minnesota, this is his fifth year running cross country competitively and he also ran track in high school. He lettered all four years in both sports as well as being captain his senior year. Sam has won numerous awards such as MVP and All-Conference during his high school days.

Sam only applied to five colleges and considered going to Lawrence in Minnesota, but decided to come to L&C to get away from home and liked the campus setup, especially the trees, when he visited. He wants to major in English or possibly Philosophy.
